Day 0- Pre Take-off Preparations

After decades of fastidious planning and grueling training, the fateful day has finally arrived. I triumphantly stand ready to embark on my grand voyage knowing that I am unshakeably prepared....

....Ok, so maybe it was more like two months of slap-hazard planning, and mildly-rigorous training, but I still feel elated that it is finally time to begin.

And you know what? I feel about as ready as one can feel before starting something of this scope. It is going to be harder than I care to imagine, and it will definitely throw me unexpected curveballs, but I feel ready to confront these challanges when they come, and its a good feeling.

Today's agenda consisted of tying up all the remaiming loose ends, such as mailing my belongings home and packing my bike's side bags. I even found time to give my bike a fitting standard bearer and have a photo op in front of the Pacific Ocean with all my bike gear in tow. (see pictures)

Tomorrow will be an early morning. I have an early ferry to the mainland to catch before heading to Mission, BC.
