Day 16- The Tropics of Saskatchewan

I once again woke up at 6AM so that I could get an early start on the day. Dave cooked me a nice, hearty breakfast, and after I had packed, he even rode as far as the highway with me to wish me well. I wont forget his easy going generosity.

I hit the highway heading east once more. Today's riding was mildy more interesting than it has been lately; there were a few hills, and the road actually curved around a bit! The roadside terrain was full of little grassy knolls, filled with more cows. They still stare, and one herd even started running in the same direction as me from the other side of the fence. One field had signs up, cautioning against buffalo, but sadly I did not see any. I did see many tunnels under the highway for herding cows to the other side however, and those were kinda interesting.

The weather was cool and overcast for once, and I was comfortable the entire short 90KM trip to today's destination. It felt like no time before I arrived at Eagle Valley Park Campground, an interesting tropical themed campground, complete with fake palm trees and a grass reed hut over the main office. They claim to be a taste of the tropicas in the middle of the Prairies. The price wasnt bad, and all services were included, so Im happy. By lunch my tent was set up, and I was ready for  nap. The remainder of today will be spent relaxing, a well deserved break after travelling 400 KM in three days.
